THIS IS IT

HEY GUYS,

So I’ve been working on publishing my book for months and months now. I really didn’t expect it to take so long, but hey I guess that’s what makes me a naïve first timer. When the final product was finished in February of 2012, I felt so accomplished and excited that I had written a book. I even got plenty thumbs up from friends and family who told me that writing a book was such a great accomplishment.

Now it doesn’t feel so great to have written a book.

In fact, I feel like giving up on my work because the editing has taken so much of my time and everyone that has edited my work had pointed out mistakes (pros of having different eyes look at your work), which made me feel like somewhat of a failure as a writer.

I decided not to do self publishing because I want my writing to touch people and get people saying ‘oh yeah.’ It’s all about relating to the real world through my writing and as a result, I want it to be looked at by the right agents and publishers. For now, I don’t mind if takes even much longer for the book, OH SO YOU’RE FROM AFRICA? HOW COME YOU SPEAK ENGLISH? to come out.

Months and months have passed now and I have been working on my writing craft, and will produce the finish product very soon.

In the meantime, I have posted the first chapter on Amazon Kindle for those who have been waiting so long for it to come out….

IMPORTANT:
IT IS $1 dollar to purchase on Amazon.com. (You dont have to have a kindle)

Here's the catch....IF YOU LIKE WHAT YOU READ YOU WILL GET HALF OFF WHEN THE HARD COPY IS AVAILABLE....IF YOU DONT LIKE WHAT YOU READ AND LEAVE A COMMENT ...YOU WILL GET YOUR $1 DOLLAR BACK FROM ME PERSONALLY!

Thank you all for your encouragement.

CAN I GENUINELY BE PRODUCTIVE IN TODAY'S DISMAL BISMAL SOCIETY?

Yesterday was the official opening of the Olympic Games or as I'd like to call it, a UNITED NATIONS ATHLETIC MEETING. Naturally, the whole world should be in London right now or in front of their TV participating from their Ikea corner sofa. But not everyone is, including myself.

As much I wanted to catch a glimpse of my country's first ever canoeist John Akinyemi, I honestly really had more productive things to do.

How much productivity can we have as a people if we are too busy worrying about every other person and event going on out there?

It terrified me as a college student when I couldn't get my papers done because I just have to check my facebook status every minute. But now I'm in the real world and I refuse to worry about not being able to make an impact in my generation because I want to see what Basketball Wife has slapped who today, or what Olympian has gotten the gold for their country today (not that its a bad thing).

Are you too attached to everything else going on that your own future is stagnant? (Food for thought)
