NIGERIA IS 52!!!!!!!!
HAPPY 52ND INDEPENDENCE TO MY GREAT COUNTRY OF NIGERIA!!!!
While many of us would like to embark upon a deep analysis of the Nigerian environment which has fallen short of our expectations, we can only continue to survive as a people and make the best of what we are stuck with.
But it is only right to say a big thank you to those who daily continue to help the country move forward and not backwards.
-Those who stand in a single file line in banks, theatres, etc
-Business owners and employees who do what they are supposed to do and dont cheat others
-Politicians who are actually making a difference in their respective areas
-Youth Corpers who actually take a year out of their life to serve the country
-Civil servants, doctors, lawyers, students, hair dressers, army, police officers, army...etc
GOD BLESS YOU GUYS AND GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!!!

One of the Sickest Resorts in the U.S.

Located in the desert, Amangiri is a luxury resort in Canyon Point, South Utah!
This is one desert I wouldn't mind being trapped in for a while!

NAIL POLISH THAT COSTS $250,000?
What are they made of? Diamonds!
The nail polish in question contains 267- carats of black diamonds. It was created by Azature, a luxury jeweler in LA.
They released it last month and have already had people like J-Lo and Kelly Osbourne rocking it...
All I wanna know is....do you slide the diamonds back in the nail polish bottle after the polish wears off? There are wayy too many starving people in the world for this!!! but anyways...
WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK????

KOREAN MEN WEARING MORE MAKEUP THAN MAC COUNTER GIRLS?
According to a recent market study, South Korean men consume 21% of the world's male skincare products.
Skincare, I can understand, but makeup I cannot understand.
And no, they are not wearing chapstick! Korean men are fully wearing makeup (foundation, lipstick and the works)
They seem to be embracing their masculinity (not gay) but grooming it to the point of perfection like women.
Why though? What do you guys think of this trend?

HOW MUCH ADVICE SHOULD YOU TAKE FROM YOUR PASTOR?
I was very disturbed by this post I read on Linda Ikeji's blog. A young lady was told by her pastor that the man she intends on marrying is wrong....forget the fact that they are both older and time isn't on their side, this kind of news is bad enough to send paranoia and fear into anyone.
VIA LIB
"Dear readers, I am in a relationship, about to get married next year. I have been dating my man for over 8 years, he proposed last year when we went on holiday to Paris. We both own our business, and we very okay financially. My man loves me very much, and I know he will do anything for me. The only problem I am having is my pastor is not happy about the relationship. I am in the choir and a committed member of my church. My pastor saw a vision during choir practice, and he called me to his office, saying my future husband is not the one for me, and the marriage will no last. He said he sees him walking away from the marriage, and I should not think about it.
Now, I am very confused, I love him very much, and I know that he won't hurt me. Should i take a huge risk leaving the man of my dreams, or listen to the man of God. My heart tells me to stay, we all know no marriage is perfect. I have invested so much in our relationship, we both have actually, and breaking his heart is the last thing i want to do. I am 29, and my man his 31. We are both ready to tie the knot. I have prayed about it, and honestly, I am ready to take a risk, and i have read articles, and people's testimonies that sometimes its better to follow your heart, and pastors can be wrong at times.
I often find it terrible to hear about real Christians leaning on their pastor and their every word for guidance and not seeking the face of God for themselves or reading the word which often stands as our guide...
This is a tuffie...but what do u guys think? Should she listen to her pastor and not marry her man of over 8 yrs?>

Emergency Message for U.S. Citizens
VIA US EMBASSY IN NIGERIA
September 12, 2012
The U.S. Mission in Nigeria issues this emergency message to update U.S.
citizens on the current threat situation in Nigeria.
The U.S. Mission reminds citizens of the continued threat of terrorist
attacks, demonstrations, and other violent actions against U.S. citizens
and interests overseas. Violent and deadly demonstrations and attacks
occurred in Cairo, Egypt, and Benghazi, Libya, during the past 24 hours,
including a lethal attack against the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi.
Extremists may attempt to target U.S citizens and other Westerners in
Nigeria. The U.S. Mission in Nigeria strongly urges U.S. citizens in
Nigeria to consider their personal security and to keep personal safety
in the forefront of their planning.
Last week, extremists attacked cellular telephone towers in Northern
Nigeria, damaging over 30 towers and degrading cellular telephone and
internet communications nationwide. Additional attacks could further
weaken the ability of citizens to communicate through cellular
telephones and the internet. Land line telephone communications in
Nigeria remain limited. U.S. citizens should attempt to arrange for
multiple means of communication during emergencies.
This year, extremists have attacked many locations in Nigeria, killing
and injuring hundreds of people. They have threatened churches,
mosques, media houses, police stations, immigration and customs offices,
financial institutions, large hotels, shopping malls and markets, state
government offices, communications centers, beer gardens, and
nightclubs. Attackers have also burned and destroyed several public and
private schools in Borno, and targeted several educational institutions
in Kano and churches in Plateau, Bauchi, Kaduna, Niger, and Borno
states. Additionally, extremists continue to target westerners for
abduction. As such, the situation in the country remains fluid and
unpredictable.
All U.S. citizens should use caution and discretion when deciding to
attend large functions or visit establishments identified as potential
targets, and respond appropriately if they detect suspicious activities.
Because of ongoing security concerns within the Federal Capital
Territory, U.S. citizens should continue to expect heavy traffic
congestion, road blocks, and significant police/security force
deployments. All U.S. citizens should remain vigilant, pay attention to
their surroundings, limit exposure to large crowds, and keep their
cellular telephones in close proximity for use in cases of emergency.
U.S. citizens traveling to or residing in Nigeria are strongly advised
to enroll in the Department of State's Smart Traveler Enrollment Program
<https://step.state.gov/> (STEP). U.S. citizens without Internet
access may enroll directly with the nearest U.S. Embassy or Consulate.
By enrolling, you make it easier for the U.S. Mission in Nigeria to
contact you in case of emergency.
U.S. citizens should contact the U.S. Embassy in Abuja or the U.S.
Consulate General in Lagos for up-to-date information on any
restrictions. The U.S. Embassy in Abuja, located at Plot 1075
