A public monument to be built in Honor of KKK founder

Selma City Council: No More Monuments to KKK Hate!
Many of you know what the initials KKK mean....and many of you without having to look it up know that is a symbol of hate, racism and violence.
So why is Selma, Alabama, a city where Dr. King fought for civil rights,  expanding a public monument to a founder of the Ku Klux Klan, Nathan Bedford Forrest?
I am utterly confused and disturbed because it can only mean there are people who still share the same values as Nathan Bedford Forrest...So how long can we expect these people to start acting on their views
"Monuments celebrating violent racism and intolerance have no place in this country, let alone in a city like Selma, where the families of those attacked by the Klan still live."

There is a petition going around to stop this....if you feel this isnt right as well, feel free to sign...petition
