I was just doing some cleaning when I stumbled upon the 2012 Holiday Catalog from Urban Outfitters. I shop at UO because they really do have unique dresses and shoes for young people like myself. However, I couldn't help but notice how vulgar some of their collections were. They had so many graphic tees and suggestive memorabilia. Young people especially teenagers shop at UO and I just think it is inappropriate how they promote thinks like profanity, drinking, sex and drugs through their items. Some of these items like the drunken flask may have been funny to me if I was still a teenager. But now, I'm actually saddened because I feel like they should be more responsible for what they put out there for young people. Or am I being unreasonable?
Do you believe these UO actively promotes profanity, drinking, sex, and drugs or are they just selling items that people want to buy?
