Man Sues Wife for Giving Birth to an Ugly baby!

So! Woman marries man and they have a baby girl. The baby, to the complete shock of Jian Feng, comes out looking hideous compared to what his stunning wife looks like. Wanna know why?

Well that's because Jian Feng's wife had undergone several thousands of dollars ($100,000 to be exact) worth of plastic surgery. Now when you have surgery and decide to have kids, your kids will not inherit the new bodies or new noses you get but they will get the genes given to you yourself at birth. Unfortunately for Feng's wife, she kinda didn't have many good genes.

Jiang Feng reportedly divorced his "deceptive" wife and then sued her. he won $120,000 which happens to be the price of an ugly baby in China (smh)

Having kids with someone is something that we all dream of when it comes to someone we love and marriage. We always have pictures in our head of what our kids will look like and those pictures are usually formed through the features we see in out significant other at the time. So Jian Feng does have some right to feel like he was deceived.

What do you guys think? Should this woman have told her husband about all her plastic surgeries before they got married? And should he have sued her?

I try not to say anything when it comes to the Nigerian Entertainment Industry because it is still a work in progress. However, there are artists who clearly know the right way to entertain, while others try out whatever comes to their narrow minds.

With the recent release of her two new singles 'HI’ & ‘Itz Ova’Tonto Dike clearly needs to stop and re-evaluate things. I've always been a fan of her carefree attitude. She is funny, smart and doesn't care about what people think about her. These are characteristics that often make an entertainer succesful. But Tonto Dike needs to start paying attention to what is going on around her. Or at the least, surround herself with people who care. A genuine friend wouldnt tell her that the songs she recently released are great. She is gorgeous and "somewhat talented," and should sit down and revamp.....#thatisall...

Please Don't Write That Ticket, Officer!

Getting parking tickets or speeding tickets are basically the worst feelings to have. Most especially when you are on a tight budget and have to cough out money because you go over your parking limit by one minute.

Igbos Seeking Apology From United Nations

In this letter to the UN secretary general Ban Ki-Moon, Igbos are apparently demanding an apology from the UN for not intervening in the Biafran Genocide of Igbo people in Nigeria.

United Nations Must Apologize to Igbo Ethnic People of South Eastern Nigeria.

Your 1948 Convention for the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide defined genocide in part as; "Genocide is a crime of intentional destruction of a national, ethnic, racial and religious group, in whole or in part"... "The coverage of crimes against humanity expanded to include acts perpetrated in time of peace, and to a broad range of groups, not to mention an ever-growing list of punishable acts inspired by developments in international human rights law"Since its establishment, United Nations have always risen in defence of the oppressed peoples of the world, thru passing resolutions condemning crimes against humanity, interventions, peaceful resolutions, sending peace keeping forces etc.

In the case of the Nigeria-Biafran war of 1967-1970, that led to massive genocide against the Igbo people of South Eastern Nigeria, where over 2 million Igbo people died, the United Nations failed to either; intervene, prevent, condemn, or send peace keeping forces to stop this genocide. This is public knowledge and the details of this war, is all over the world. Events before the war started in 1967 like the (massive killings of Igbo people in the Northern Nigeria), events during the war itself (1967-1970) like the (food starvation, killing of civilians, children, women etc), and events after war like, (government seizure of Igbo peoples' property, giving every Igbo person £20, twenty pounds irrespective of any amount s/he had in the bank) were all acts of genocide, targeted at extermination of the Igbo race in Nigeria.

Having failed to protect, prevent, and condemn this genocide against the Igbo people of Nigeria, the United Nations failed in its duties. Therefore, United Nations must pass a retroactive resolution condemning this genocide and tender an unreserved apology to the Igbo people of Nigeria. This is the essence of this petition.

Hoping this petition will be given due considerations, that it deserves.

I didn't want to write this from a biased point of view, but it's hard not to have a salty vibe about this kind of topic. It is a little bit strange and unreasonable to me for a "man of God" to live lavishly when millions of people around him or sometimes her is living in abject poverty. Even if all of the people who attended their congregation were wealthy, the earth is full of people with so much need that people of God are meant to attend to by virtue of their faith.

Having grown up in the Christian faith, I understand it costs money to evangelize and to travel to parts of the world for crusades, but to multiple jets is extremely ridiculous, especially when these men are basically building their empires from tithes and offerings of church members; many who cant even afford to feed their families regularly in Nigeria. I remember going to a church in Nigeria few months ago and saw many of the church members walking on dusty roads to get to church. According to the Editors of Men's Health via Yahoo Health, Baltimore has the highest rate of overweight
people in the U.S.

Baltimore was number four on the article's list of the ten worst U.S cities for heart health. If they said Baltimore had the highest rate of high people, I could probably agree. But I'm curious as to how they did this research.

You guys would be happy to know that Baltimore has the highest rate of overweight people and not obese, people. So then wouldn't the city with the most obese people be the same city that has the highest amount of overweight people.

Tru Story:

One of my friends called me during the week and he told me that he had been getting to know this girl. According to him this girl is gorgeous and smart. After spending some time together, the girl decides that she wants to tell him something important.

She goes, "I have a priestess." For those of you who don't know that's a formal word for sorcerer  Aka babalowo woman. Apparently this woman is the consultant for the whole family and she is heavily important when it comes to any relationship this girl is in.

Now, I wouldn't completely call her a devil worshiper,  but that's kind of what she is...because if you're consulting with spirits, you're definitely not on God's side.

My friend thinks the girl is beautiful, smart and has a great sense of humor. And he has tried to see things from her point of view because she has been hurt by a lot of guys and needs the priestess to help her through her decisions with me.

But ultimately he is scared to go on a second date with her because the implication of all this is that she can be on some hardcore juju stuff and you probably cant leave a can of soda around that kind of person, not to mention get intimate..

So guys, and girls...would you go out again with someone who tells you they consult with mamiwater spirits??? (BTW: Witchcraft is real!!)

Is It Possible to Date Someone for 3-5yrs and Not Know They Are Cheating?

I say Yes. But a friend of mine says no.

 

We were having this discussion a while ago about this girl we both know who recently married someone who everyone knows cheats on her.

She dated this guy for over 3 years before they got married and even though they lived in separate states, the guy's life was too flamboyant for her not to know anything.

My friend says she has to have known somehow. She says that there's no way you can date someone for that long and not have a clue whatsoever that he cheats.

I say no because guys are good at keeping things if they want.

How would she have known though because most people live by a mind your own business code when it comes to other people’s relationships. Not to mention guys who live by a loyalty code, which prevents them from telling the girlfriend or wives of their friends that they are cheating.

That’s why I want to ask you guys. Is it possible to date someone for years and not know that they are cheating on you????

Black People Are Not Contributing to Society

Jon Hubbard, a Republican House of Rep member for the state of Arkansas, claims that slavery was "a blessing" for African-Americans."

In his new "self published book, "Letters to the Editor: Confessions of a Frustrated Conservative," Hubbard makes a series of statements which are raising eye-brows everywhere.

In the binded pages of his seemingly ignorant mind, Hubbard writes that "African slaves had better lives under slavery than in Africa, that blacks are not contributing to society, and that a situation is developing the United States which is similar to that of Nazi Germany."

OTHER STATEMENTS IN HIS BOOK:

“… the institution of slavery that the black race has long believed to be an abomination upon its people may actually have been a blessing in disguise. The blacks who could endure those conditions and circumstances would someday be rewarded with citizenship in the greatest nation ever established upon the face of the Earth.” (Pages 183-89)

"On the subject of school integration, Hubbard described black students as having a "a lack of discipline and ambition," which he said has hurt the entire educational system." (I believe this to be true of many blacks btw)


He was so concerned about the amount of immigrants in Arkansas that earlier this year, June to be precise, he called for the University of Arkansas to be audited because he wanted to see if tax money had been spent on a panel discussion about undocumented immigrants.
While one or two of the statements have some truth to it,  I'm suprised that he believes is a true Christian with Christian values.

Why Cant Deer be Taught How to Cross the Street?

You guys see this deer on the right? There's a road in front of him. This major road happens to connect Reisterstown with Randallstown. This deer is going to cross the road in front of him and either get killed, kill someone, cause an accident for an unsuspecting driver, or he's just going to cross safely to the other side of the woods and live to see another day. Which one would you prefer he do? If you're like me, you really don't care if the deer dies or not (it's not like we are allowed to pick it up and go cook). I just don't ever want me and my car to ever be involved with one of these dimwitted deers.

It's 2012! Why cant someone round them up, sit them down in "Deer Woods" and teach them when to cross roads? If they can get shark in tanks at the zoo, they should be able to teach these deer how to cross roads.

These are the kinds of things I feel organizations like PETA should be more concerned with and not just which celebrity is eating turkey for lunch each week.

Pay Women Less- Todd Akin

Our beloved Rep. Todd Akin is back in the news. You guys remember him right? He's the one that said that legitimate rape victims can force their bodies to avoid pregnancy. Well now he's back again saying that he believes it's fair for employers to pay women less than men.

"I believe in free enterprise. I don't think the government should be telling people what you pay and what you don't pay." (A reasonable statement)

However, he recently voted against the 'Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act' of 2009, which makes it easier for women to challenge unequal pay.

He says it should be about an employer's freedom to negotiate salaries with their employees and that government interference "has gotten us into huge trouble."

There are still women who are getting paid less for the equal amount of work they do with their male counterparts. There are female CEOs and COOs still earning about 72% of what male CEOs and COOs earn for the same work.

Akin is still currently in the Senate race. It is clear though that he doesn't really have women on his mind when it comes to equality and fair policy.

We'll keep watching our guy and see what outlandish thing he has to say next time.

The Chanel ‘Hula Hoop’ Bag. HOT OR NOT?

Chanel designer Karl Lagerfield just introduced a giant purse with basically what you would call a hoola hoop wrapped around it.

Some say its a bit ridiculous, obnoxious, and yes, expensive.

Fashion does fall under the umbrella of art, and I for one think its a genius concept because its something that we haven't really seen before and it pushes the limit like art is supposed to 

Lagerfeld’s joked that this bag is actually "for the beach."

But what do you guys think? HOT OR NOT?

Telecommunication Companies Continue to Make a Fool of Nigerians

What do Globacom, Mtn, Airtel, Etisalat and others all have in common? Yes you guessed it: JATI JATI

Most of these telecommunication companies started operation in Nigeria in the early 2000s. Since then none of these companies have made any effort to update their operations to mimic the global standards of the rest of the world. Instead they continue to provide phone and internet services via scratch cards, usb modems, and other wired technology. 

It is a shame that the people of Nigeria cant get basic monthly phone plans which allow them to have unlimited calling, txt, and data like most companies around the world offer. The people cant even get quality network service on a regular day. However, what seems to be on the mind of these companies are sweepstakes, gimmicks and blowouts.

Most recently MTN launched a  ‘Recharge and Win Promo’ where the winner would win  a brand new airplane or the cash equivalent. There were so many flags raised about this contest and with good reason. One thing we can be certain of is that the number of recharge cards  bought just to participate in this contest was enough to buy more than one airplane. That's because people don't even have a choice other than to buy scratch cards on a daily basis.

I was stunned when I recently spent over a year in Nigeria and had to spend more money weekly on recharge cards than I spend on a monthly phone plan with US communications giant, Verizon wireless.

Glo recently followed up with their own promotion that offers subscribers an opportunity to own a fleet of 52-seater luxury buses, mini buses, luxury taxes and cash prizes called Made4Life. (Why would a person need who doesn't have access to good roads need a luxury bus) Beats me!


What would it the Jati Jati powerhouses to set up proper telecommunication systems and give the people of Nigeria reasonable phone plans that don't cost more than the average Nigerians make.

These companies all know that scratch cards are a rip-off to the people yet continue their practices and offer useless promotions which give unnecessary luxuries to a society which needs plenty of repairs in all its sectors. 


Many telecommunication companies all over the world usually have issues with customer satisfaction, but at least in most countries people enjoy value for their money.

It is well with Nigeria!

DANNY YOUNG VS. WIZKID

I was listening to a naija mix earlier today and this song happened to be on it.. All of sudden, I realized that we haven't heard from this young talent who had a lot of potential.

Ajibola Olumuyiwa Danladi a.k.a Danny Young  is one of the youngest artiste/producer out of Africa.

So where is he now? He seems to have faded just about the time when Wiz Kid became a hot commodity. Any coincidence. They are both young and fresh. Some may even argue that they sound the same. 

Was the stage not big enough? Have we heard the last of this talented young man?

SHOULD WOMEN KEEP QUIET IN CHURCH?

So I received a txt today about this verse of scripture and it goes like this:

"Let your women keep silence in the churches; for it is not permitted unto them to speak: but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. And if they will learn anything, let them ask their husbands at home; for it is a shame for women to speak in the church." - 1st Corinthians 14 vs 34 & 35

I know I have seen this scripture many times and maybe I wasn't so concerned because I was young. But now I would like someone to shed light on this. It is after all in the new testament and not the old.

Does this literally mean women shouldn't be preachers at all or they shouldn't even be saying anything in church?
